The
County Clerk is the chief Election Authority administering
elections throughout Will County. We offer election-related services
to candidates, political parties, press, local units of government,
and the general public. These services include absentee voting
programs; securing polling places; recruiting, training and
scheduling election judges and election workers; as well as election
night tabulation of results and conducting the official canvass of

Voting
A new Illinois law now provides a
“grace period” for individuals who were unable to register to vote
or change their address prior to the close of registration (28 days
prior to an election).
“Grace Period” individuals may register to
vote or change their address from the 27th through the 14th
day prior to an election. Grace Period Voting is only
available in the Will County Clerk’s Office, 302 N. Chicago Street,
Joliet IL. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and
Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. "GRACE PERIOD"
INDIVIDUALS MUST ALSO VOTE AT THE SAME TIME. THEY MAY NOT VOTE AT
THE POLLS ON ELECTION DAY.
